How to aim solar spotlights
Uplighting works best from 1 to 3 feet out from the trunk or wall, tilted so the beam climbs the surface rather than hitting it flat. For a fence, space the spots evenly and let the pools of light touch. For house numbers or an entry, a single spot at a low angle beats two bright ones.
Solar spotlights are only as strong as the sun their panel gets. When the thing you want to light sits in shade, turn the panel toward the open sky and aim just the lamp head into the shade — the separate tilt is there exactly for that.
Quick answers
Stake or wall mount?
Both — our spotlights ship with a ground stake and a screw bracket. Stake them in a bed to uplight a tree, or screw them under the eaves to wash a wall.
Can the panel and the lamp face different ways?
Yes. The panel tilts separately from the head on most of our models, so the panel can find the afternoon sun while the lamp points at the tree.
What do the colour modes do?
The colourful versions add fixed colours and a slow cycle next to warm white — good for a party fence or a holiday front. One click back and they return to plain warm light.
